Leina Elbarasi is a senior finance leader with over 18 years of experience in financial planning, budgeting, reporting, auditing and governance. She plays a key role in the GCGRA's strategic decision-making processes through effective financial forecasting and communication with various government and private stakeholders.
Leina has held several leadership positions throughout her career, emphasising the development and implementation of effective financial strategies, high-quality financial reporting, modelling, and analysis. During her tenure at Abu Dhabi Media Company and Ernst & Young International in the United Arab Emirates and the United States, she distinguished herself as an exceptional leader in financial transformation programmes, corporate governance, auditing, and regulatory compliance.
Leina holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from The George Washington University and is a licensed qualified public accountant and global management accountant from the USA (CPA & CGMA). She is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
